Sort and Distribute Food at Salvation Army Glendale’s Food Pantry
The Salvation Army Glendale's Food Pantry program serves hundreds of invidiuals and families every month. They have recently transitioned into a 'marketplace' system, which gives their clients the independence to choose their own food options. In order to serve the community, Salvation Army Glendale need volunteers to help maintain the pantry by spending a couple of hours each week performing one (or more) of the following tasks: 1. Sort incoming food donations by type. 2. Place sorted foods in the designated area. 3. Help restock the marketplace floor as needed. 4. Assist/interact with clients. They have opportunities available Monday through Friday. Volunteers under 18 years old need to be supervised by an adult. Additionally, this opportunity involves the lifting of light weight items such as canned food, bread, etc. This is a great opportunity to bless the community!
